Backcountry has been a leading outdoor retailer since 1996, offering a selection of adventure gear to their adventurous customers. Backcountry is located right next door to Going In Style Travel Accessories on the Northeast side of Stanford Mall. Best entrance for Backcountry is on Stanford Shopping Center Way off of El Camino Real.

Backcountry's first in person retail store opened in Salt Lake City, UT right next to its warehouse. The company has been expanding its Brick and Mortar stores and the newest Backcountry store is now open at Stanford Shopping Center address 180 El Camino Real #650A, Palo Alto, CA 94025. Future plans include expanding to locations Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

Before you shop at Backcountry you can grab a coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee right next door to the Backcountry store. Blue Bottle offers a famous selection of deluxe coffee for caffeine enthusiasts.
