Backcountry's first in person retail store opened in Salt Lake City, UT right next to its warehouse. The company has been expanding its Brick and Mortar stores and the newest Backcountry store is now open at Stanford Shopping Center address 180 El Camino Real #650A, Palo Alto, CA 94025. Future plans include expanding to locations Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

Restoration Hardware Coming To Stanford Shopping Center

Going In Style Travel Accessories is excited to announce we will be gaining a new neighbor. Currently the NorthEast section of Stanford Shopping Mall is under construction with plans to have Restoration Hardware move in next door to Going In Style Travel Accessories soon.

Restoration Hardware is a luxury furniture store offering furniture for your whole house as well as lighting, bathware, rugs, outdoor furniture and design services. RH furniture and décor is elegant, yet cozy that can be seen in any of its furniture Galleries. You can find furniture to suit a variety of design concepts from modern to traditional and any of their gallery designers can assist you in seamlessly transforming your home.

RH was founded in 1979 by Stephen Gordon while he was restoring a Victorian style home. Gordon had trouble finding high quality hardware and fixtures for his home so he created his own store, Restoration Hardware and slowly expanded. Today, Restoration Hardware has stores across the US and Canada including outlet stores.

Currently Restoration Harware is slated to join fellow luxury retailers including Neiman Marcus, Hermes, with the opening of RH in Palo Alto at Stanford Shopping Center. The new Palo Alto, CA location will feature a glass encased Rooftop Restaurant, wine and an elegantly landscaped park. RH will be three levels to feature all their furnishings including bedroom furniture, living room, dining room and outdoor furniture.

Luggage for Foster Kids - Donate Your Luggage for $100 OFF Briggs & Riley

According to the most recent federal data, there are currently more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. Children in the foster care system range from ages infant to 21 years old. According to https://www.adoptuskids.org/ every year more than 20,000 foster kids age out of the foster care system.

Briggs & Riley has teamed up with Comfort Cases to collect luggage, bags and backpacks for foster kids during Foster Kids Awareness Month. Comfort Cases is a non profit organization that packs a bag for foster kids that includes new pajamas, a teddy bear, toothbrush and personal care items. Comfort Cases was founded by Rob Scheer, a foster kid himself. At 12 years old, Scheer was giving a trash bag to put all his belongings in and arrived at his new home with only a trash bag full of his things. At the age of 18, Scheer aged out of the foster care system, packed his belongings back into a trash bag and became homeless as an 18 year old youth.

Thirty years later, Scheer became a foster parent himself. His four kids arrived at his house with 4 trash bags full of their belongings. Scheer was saddened to see his kids with trash bags and wanted to do something about it. Rob Scheer founded Comfort Cases with the goal of eliminating the need for trash bags for foster kids. Entering the foster system is a stressful event for a child with a lot of unknowns, having their belongings packed into their own duffel bag makes a difference for these kids.

Edwards Luggage was a family owned luggage store opened on University Avenue before Stanford Mall was even built.
